Our Specialties

Trauma

Whether you are struggling with "big T" trauma (assault, accident, sudden loss) or "little t" trauma (breakups, job loss, familial relationships), we can help guide you through your processing and empower you to move forward in your life.

Addiction

Utilizing models such as Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing, and integrating external therapy resources such as S.M.A.R.T meetings is the path we will take in helping you regain control over your addiction. We can assist you whether you are struggling with substances or process-type addictions (i.e., behavioural addictions).

OCD

We will conduct a thorough review of your mental heath history, and can screen and diagnose obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). We will implement the gold standard of treatment for OCD, which is exposure and response prevention (ERP) therapy. This will involve learning about ERP, creating structured exposures, and sometimes even meeting outside of the therapy room, in the community, if deemed appropriate.

Mood Disorders

Learning a variety of coping strategies such as grounding, mindfulness, cognitive reframing, behavioural activation and others will be the primary focus of therapy. We strive to ensure that you leave each session with a clear goal and confidence to work towards that goal. We will take an integrative approach, meaning that we will assess and adjust to whichever therapeutic orientation will provide you the most relief. These are including but not limited to: CBT, ACT, SFT, EMDR, and IFS.
